My Man Tag

Happy Birthday Ky!
Ky turns 26 years old today! I was tagged by Emily so I thought today would be a great day to share a little more about my amazing husband!

What is your husband's full name: Kyler Robert Close

How long have you been married? 4 1/2 years

How long did you date? A long time. I remember telling my mom in 9th grade that I was going to marry him, so about 6 years before we got married.

How old is he? 26 Today! Happy Birthday!

Who eats more sweets? I do! Ky doesn't even really like chocolate, CRAZY!

Who said "I love you" first? Ky, (when we were in 9th grade)

Who is taller? Ky

Who can sing best? Ky. He is really good and I don't have a musical bone in my body.

Who is smarter? Ky, I swear he teaches me something new every day.

Who does the laundry? Me, most of the time

Who pays the bills? Me

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Ky...its closest to the door. He can protect me from there.

Who mows the lawn? Ky. I have never mowed the lawn in my life.

Who cooks dinner? We both do. Ky's meals are way more elaborate and usually better. We watch the food network most nights before bed. We both love food!

Who drives? Ky drives. I enjoy being able to help the kids if needed and being able to look through my planner. I could spend the whole car ride even if its 5 min. or 5 hours looking at the calendar and making a "to do" list. Ky always gives me a hard time about that!

Who kissed who first? We had our first kiss after our 9th grade spring dance, at the drive-in. Ky initiated it, I was way too scared.

Who asked who out first? Ky

Who wears the pants? We both do at times!

Happy Birthday, Babe! You are the best husband and father! I'm so glad I have you!

I tag: Lindsay and Cami

A Blur

Tomorrow the twins will be a week old. It has gone by so fast....it all seems like a blur, but the best blur ever. We are getting adjusted to life at home with 3 kids. It has been so great, but a little hectic at times. When you love all your kids the same...its hard to show attention and make sure they all feel loved at the same time. Ky has been a great help. He has really helped Kynnady. He has planned fun "daddy daughter" dates. When it was snowing he took her to the beach and they swam in the ocean (see the picture above). He has also had fun putting Porter in his cowboy hat and playing "catch" with Harper. The twins are really good babies. I don't know how we got so lucky. They both are jaundice, but I think they've hit their peak with that now. They are sleeping, eating, and diapering machines...which is all great. I feel so blessed! Even through sleep deprived eyes I totally LOVE my life! And please don't worry about me cleaning.....I really haven't done much.

Babies Have Arrived!

This is Ky and I have no idea what I am doing. Shelby is a little busy right now, I don't know why??? :) She asked me to put some pictures of our little ones on here. Were just a little proud! Our little ones finally arrived! Thursday morning at 11:14 a.m. Porter Vaden Close joined our family and at 11:34 a.m. Harper Rae Close followed. Porter weighed in at a strapping 6lbs 4 ounces and Harper weighed in at a large 5lbs 8 ounces. Everything went really smooth and they are both doing great! We brought them home yesterday (Saturday) and have had a great time with are three kiddos. Life is good! Shelby is also doing great. She is already back cleaning, its amazing. Good thing too becasue it probably wouldn't get done. Thanks to everyone who has helped out. Is amazing at times like these how you realize how many people have your back. Its awesome.

Baby update

I went to the doctor today. Both babies are vertex still and measuring great. Our boy weighed in at 5 lbs. 2 oz. and our girl at 5lbs. 15 oz. The nurse didn't feel like our boys measurements were completely accurate because he was being sooo squished by his sister, (she was thinking he was a little bit bigger than that.) I was hoping to have progressed a lot this past week so my doctor would either induce me today or that I would stay about the same because he is going out of town this weekend. I'm a 3....so chances are I'll be able to make it to the 9th. It seems a little disappointing because I'm getting so big and uncomfortable and having quite a few contractions, but I can do anything for 8 more days, especially if it will help the babies. Maybe the extra time will help us decide on what we are going to name them.
