Preschool Christmas Party

Kynnady had a fun preschool Christmas Party. We made cute Rudolph cookies for a treat to share. She was excited because Santa came and she was able to share with him her wishes. It has been so fun with her getting into Santa this year.

lunch

This is what I saw today as I was getting ready to clean up the babies from lunch...

so sweet. They held hands for a few minutes. One of their favorite things to do right now is the put each others hands in their mouths. They laugh so hard until one of them bites the other :(

One Eyed Willy

Ky helped Kynnady make a snowman last week. She has been looking forward to making a snowman all year. I went out to take pictures of the snowman making in progress, but I quickly changed my mind when they attacked me with snowballs. Later I was able to get a picture of their work and I'm glad I did. I love it. It is so cute and war-vet like :)

SNOW!

Kynnady was excited to wake up and be able to play in the snow this morning. She was outside helping Daddy clear the driveway when our neighbors (my cousin's family) came by with a 4 wheeler and sled. She was able to go sledding down our street with them. It was fun to see 3 cute, girls screaming and giggling and enjoying the weather.

Oh the places he'll go...

Our babies are definitely into the "into everything" stage. In fact they have been since they became mobile, but this past week or so Porter has really been exploring everything. I love this stage, but they are so busy and mess makers!!! Tonight as I was getting them ready for bed I thought of a few places Porter went today. Crib, high chair, floor, playing in the living room, pantry-pulled everything in reach off the shelves, heater vent(yep, both legs down in-super scary, this has actually been a problem lately because he loves to do this-I've taped the ones on the hard wood floor, but for the bedrooms I'll take any advise, I don't want him to get cut or stuck,)!!! under the table, on the fireplace, in the toy basket, under his bed, behind the entertainment center, under the chair, on top of the toys in the basket, Kynnady's room- rearranging everything for her, my room, in his and Harper's room, in our closets, in the the bathroom-pulled the toilet paper off the roll, into the bath tub, in my arms, in the drawer under the stove-one of his favorites:), in Kynnady's arms, on top of Harper, in the laundry room, under the computer desk, in the story book basket, and probably a dozen more places and Harper joined him for most of his visits. Love them! Busy babies...Uugghh. I'm tired!

And the babies turn 14 months today :)

Bath Time

The babies are growing up so quickly. I haven't posted about them for awhile and they change so fast. Here is a few things about the twins.
Harper has been walking really well for the past 3.5 weeks now. She is a goer! She has such a fun personality. She has 3 teeth and her hair is really starting to grow. Porter started taking some steps about a week ago. He is learning but I think it'll be a few more weeks before he catches up with Harper. He is the sweetest little boy! He has 14 teeth!!! Crazy to see Harper with a few and Port with a mouthful.
They are starting to talk a little more and they for sure are into everything!!! Here a some pictures from bath time last night. Harper was loving the camera and Porter was too busy shooting hoops to get his picture taken. They are so much fun! Couldn't love them more.

I love Saturdays! Its usually Ky's day off and I love spending the day together. I took these pictures last Saturday. So cute! These pictures are far from perfec,t but they just make me smile. I think you can see how happy the kids are to be with their daddy too! I love these guys so much!

Western Caribbean Cruise 09

We had a fabulous vacation to the Caribbean. We had been looking forward to this trip a long time and now I can't believe its over. I have to start out at the beginning and tell you a little bit about our trip. We left Saturday for Miami. As we began to come in for landing in Dallas the plane took off again. Ky teased me about the landing gear not working but to my surprised about 20 minutes later the pilot came on explaining that we were running out of fuel and he could not assure us the landing gear was working and we were preparing for an EMERGENCY LANDING- what?!? I kept waiting for a just kidding, but my heart began pounding faster and faster and the flight crew gave us very specific instructions and they scurried around the plane. I could tell from the crews serious and shaky voices that this was very serious. We had about an hour in the air and my body shook with terror. It was awful! I could not stop thinking about our kids and a million other things! Finally we went for it and luckily we landed just fine! Lets just say that many prayers were answered that night!!! It was pretty terrifying when we landed because they had closed down the run ways and had tons of firetrucks and ambulances waiting for us. I'm sure it is a flight that no one on that plane will forget. Because of the events we missed our connection and stayed in Dallas for the night. It actually was just fine and gave us all time to settle down a bit.
The next day we made it to Miami and took off for the Caribbean. We wasted no time stuffing ourselves with food and exploring the ship. My parents got us all balcony suites which was awesome. It was so nice to be out on our own balcony looking out at the Atlantic.
Our first port was Grand Cayman. We swam with the stingrays. It took me a minute to get used to them, but it was lots of fun. We were able to feed them, kiss them (which brings 7 yrs. of good luck), and have them lay over us like a blanket. After that we went snorkeling. Ky and my brothers were able to find conch shells and we were able to bring them home.
Then the next day we went to Roatan. The weather was a rainy day but it didn't ruin our day. We did a zip-line through the jungle. It was AWESOME!!! So beautiful and fun. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! After that we shopped for a bit. I really liked Roatan.
Our next stop was Belize. We went cave tubing. Once again really pretty and fun. Our our way there we were able to drive through the country. It was cool to see how other people live and it makes me grateful to live where we do.
Our last stop was in Cozumel. We had perfect weather and we totally enjoyed our selves at the beach. We just relaxed and snorkeled a bit too. Ky was able to find a small cave and swim through it there. It was pretty cool.
Ky and I had a fantastic time. I was worried about leaving the kids, but now thinking about it, I appreciated them more before we left because I knew I'd miss them. Ky and I had a great week together and with my family. And now being home I have a little more patience and appreciation for our kids again. Thanks mom and dad for a much needed vacation- we had a blast

Home

Ky and I spent the last 9 days totally kid free and we cruised around the Caribbean. We had a fantastic time. It was a wonderful Christmas gift from my parents. We have some great pictures and stories to share (all to come soon, I hope). I am really grateful for Ky's mom and family for taking great care of the kids. The Caribbean is a hard place to leave, but we were so excited to see these cute faces when we got home!

4 RN friends + 10

A little over 4 years ago I graduated from Nursing school. In school I met some really great girls. There are 3 girls that became my close friends. We recently got together to hang out and remember times when life may have been more simple. Before the explosion of our 10 kids. Yep, that's right 10!

Porter doesn't have a ton of hair yet, but his mohawk was getting a little long so Daddy trimmed him up. What a handsome little dude!

Happy Birthday Twins!

The babies had a great birthday. They loved opening all their presents and playing with their new toys. Harper loved getting into all the boxes or climbing on them, then she would clap her hands until we all cheered. They went at their cakes and made a mess, just like I hoped. Love these kids! Here are some pictures of the day.

October 9

Twice the cake, Twice the fun, CELEBRATE the twins are ONE!!!!
Porter and Harper what a fabulous year we have had with you. I can't believe you are one. I am so grateful that you were sent to our family. I am so lucky to be your mom. The joy of making you smile or laugh is amazing. I can't even describe the feeling of rocking two beautiful babies to sleep, or feeding and bathing them, or walking into their rooms after a nap and seeing them both smile at you-its awesome! Yes, at times it has been totally crazy but we wouldn't change a thing. Happy Birthday babies!!! We love you!!!
We had a great time watching them open and play with their presents and go at their cakes.-pictures to come.

Party in the USA

I took Kynnady and four of her cute cousins to the Miley Cyrus concert. Kynnady was so excited!!! I love watching her experience new things. Miley got sick and ran off the stage at the first. She came back out and finished her show though. It was fun, but SOOO loud. I must be getting old. :( It was fun to have a night out with some cute girls and "party in the USA!"
