the Fourth
We enjoyed the 4th of July here in Ohio. I took the kids to the Hilliard parade in the morning. They loved it. It was perfect weather and they each got a huge bag of candy. It seemed more like Halloween with the candy we brought home. We spent the afternoon at the pool and then met Ky for an early dinner. It was so nice to have him home early. Then we enjoyed the Hilliard fireworks and fireflies. The kids are at a really fun age and I love watching them have such fun experiences.

Lemonade
Kynnady is always looking for ways to earn money. She comes up with little business ideas all the time. She has her daddy's mind set. One of her favorites is selling lemonade. The kids sold lemonade to a few neighbors and workers. They were in heaven and so proud of their little business. and mostly the profits.

touch-a-truck
The city hosted a fun event called touch-a-truck. They had police motorcycles, firetrucks, garbage trucks, snowplows, a zamboni, tractors, buses, semis, etc. for the kids to climb on and explore. The kids loved it. They loved going down a giant blow up dump truck slide, too. When they were in the garbage truck Porter grabbed the keys and started it up. The garbage man was standing by the engine and it scared him to death. It was hilarious-only Porter would do that. He is such a funny kid.

Thurmans Cafe
On the TV show man vs. food the host eats a giantic burger from Thurmans Cafe in Columbus. We took the oppertunity to check the place out. It was crowded and they said there is almost always a wait. It was a really cool place. The burgers are 3/4lb. pattie-huge! I had the mushroom burger and Ky had the Thurman burger with cheese, ham, bacon, burger, and the fixings. One of our freinds, Blake, tried the "Thurmanator" which is two of Ky's burgers. He was able to finish it. Our kids are great eaters and Kynnady was proud to finish off her kids burger too! It's cool to watch the show and see the exact booth we ate at. Fun times and great food. And the other pictures are of another awesome metro park in the city. We were able to climb up a huge water tower to get this view and take some pictures.

care package
More zoo
We have continued to go to the Columbus Zoo a lot. The kids really enjoy it and it is nice to be able to come and go as we like. The kids enjoyed riding on the train and playing on this cute polar bear playland last time we went. The cute family in front of us is one of our good friends out here. We are so lucky to have good friends here to hang out with.

Frogs and Fireflies
The kids have had a blast catching cute little frogs around our house. They are small, like the size of a nickel. Kynnady is the best at finding them. We are also super excited because the fireflies are out. I love them. They are so cool. Ky spotted some last week in his area and brought them home for us to check out. Over the last few days they now started showing upout here at our house. I'm looking forward to spending nights filling up jars with the kids.
