11 months and dance

Today our babies are 11 months old. I can't believe that in one month they will be one year olds. They continue to melt our hearts. Both of them are so sweet.
Harper is so good on her feet and she continues to cruise around all the furniture. She'll stand by herself for quite awhile (like 10-15 seconds), but hasn't taken any steps on her own. She loves to dance and move like her sister. She still has just 2 bottom teeth still.
Porter gets more steady on his feet everyday. I love seeing his confidence grow. He army and regular crawls now and cruises around the furniture. He is happiest with a mouth full of food- just like his mom! He just had his 6 tooth come in.
They are so funny because all day long they go after the same binki/ toy/ lotion/ sippy/ bottle/ whatever. They have quite a few squabbles everyday. They have both taken a few hits and bites from each other, but they also spend a lot of time doing baby talk to each other and laughing. They are the best babies!!

Kynnady begins dance

Today Kynnady started dance. She is really excited about it. I can't believe how grown up she is getting. Its so crazy to drop her off at dance when I feel like I should be the one going to class. We can't to see all her new moves because the ones she has now are killer! :) Tonight she impressed me because she wrote me a note all by herself that said Shelby Close I love you! Kynnady. So sweet and smart! She is all girl and we love her so much!

Bear Lake

Usually we spend a lot of time during the summer up at Bear Lake. This year we have not, but we finally made a quick trip up there. I love the drive and the relaxing feeling up there. What a beautiful place.
Even though we were there for a short time, Kynnady loved exploring at the cabin. We spent a few hours at the beach and all the kids loved it. It was fun to see the babies experience the sand and water. Porter loves to eat everything so I kind of expected he might eat a little sand (which he did), but it was Harper who ate the most-GROSS! Oh well! We had a great time.

Preschool

We met with Kynnady's preschool teacher, Ms. Mickelson, last week. It was so cute because Kynnady had at least 10 questions for her...do I bring you an apple?...who is in my class?...will I have homework?...where does my backpack go?.. what should I bring?... and on and on.
It was so cute and I was so proud of her. She acted so grown-up.

And today Kynnady started preschool. I can't believe it! Where has the time gone??? She will do great and she is so excited to go to school! She loves to learn and she is already very smart! Her teacher is so cute with her and I know Kynnady will have a great year-its me I'm worried about!

There she goes. Her teacher takes her right from the car and they walk in together. So cute and so hard for mom!! Don't tell, but I definitely got a little teary eyed.

10 Months

Well another month has quickly passed by and now the twins are 10 months old. I can't believe it. They will be 1 before I know it. I remember last summer trying to picture what life would be like with twins this year. It has been so much BETTER than I could have dreamed. It has been busy, but their cute little personalities make up for it all. We love them so much.
I love watching them play because there is such a difference with having a boy and a girl. I don't even know how to describe it. Porter likes to hammer his toys, play with the door stops, open and close the door, and try to figure out how things works. Harper is a busy little thing, she likes dolls, climbing up on things, and books.
They both love Kynnady's microphones, tea set, and playing in her room. Harper has 2 bottom teeth and now Porter has 3 top teeth and 2 bottom. They wave bye-bye and give kisses. Harper babbles and Porter squeals-its so funny. Harper is really steady on her feet and cruises around the furniture, but doesn't really like to walk with help yet. Porter still mostly army crawls and he is getting better at pulling up to furniture. They are amazing little kiddos and every day they learn more and more...and we love them more and more.
A couple pictures of them playing and their gorgeous big sister, Kynnady.

the fair

We took the kids to the fair. Kynnady is at such a fun age. She loved it. She milked a cow, brushed and combed a bull, rode a pony, got her hand painted, fished for a prize, played a basketball game, watched a kid rodeo, and saw tons of animals. I love watching the excitement in her eyes.

Dash and Diesel

I forgot about these cute pictures we had taken and I wanted to share them. They were taken at the begining of summer. A great photographer-Marissa Vargason, shot our kids for an amazingly cute clothing line called dash and diesel. Super cute stuff!!!
